Scialabba, Vogel Announce State Grant for Route 68/19 Connector Project in Zelienople
February 24, 2025
HARRISBURG—A state Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) grant totaling $213,300 has been awarded to Zelienople Borough for preliminary design work on the Route 68/19 connector project, according to Rep. Stephenie Scialabba (R-Butler) and Sen. Elder Vogel, Jr. (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence).
“Zelienople’s investment in their Main Street continues to pay dividends for the area and now we are making it even safer for the many crowds of people who gather in Zelienople for the large community parades and one of the nicest main streets in the area,” said Scialabba.
“I am thrilled to be able to support Zelienople Borough and their investment into creating a safe means of travel that will help alleviate congestion on their Main Street. This investment has the opportunity to improve safety, boost economic development, and make the borough a more enjoyable place for residents and visitors alike,” said Vogel.
The funding for these grants was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA). CFA is an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
