Nearly $36 Million Allocated to Cranberry Township Project
July 17, 2024
HARRISBURG – Rep. Stephenie Scialabba (R-Butler) announced the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) awarded nearly $36 million in low-interest loan funding to a wastewater construction project in Cranberry Township.
According to Scialabba, the money will be used to upgrade the Brush Creek Water Pollution Control Facility, specifically the equipment related to solids processing.
“This critical investment will benefit Cranberry Township residents,” said Scialabba. “I am grateful to see PENNVEST reaffirm the importance of this project through the approval of significant funds.”
Founded in 1988, PENNVEST provides grants and low-interest loans for design, engineering and construction of publicly and privately owned drinking water distribution and treatment facilities, as well as storm water and wastewater projects.
