March 26, 2024

HARRISBURG – Rep. Stephenie Scialabba (R-Butler) announced today the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) approved $825,000 in grants for two Butler County projects.

Cranberry Township received $625,000 to install safety and connectivity upgrades at the intersection of Brandt Drive and Pennsylvania Route 19. The agency awarded $200,000 to Evans City Borough for the replacement of the Harrison Street culvert.

“Transportation plays a pivotal role in our lives,” said Scialabba. “After collaborating with township officials on advocating for support, I am pleased to see the Commonwealth Financing Agency reaffirming the importance of these projects by approving much-needed funding.”

The funding comes from the Multimodal Transportation Fund under the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which manages the state’s economic stimulus programs. The fund provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure a safe and reliable system of transportation is available in the Commonwealth.
